2D6: Talents

Talents in the 2D6 system are the equivalent of skills in other games.  Each talent will be associated with a corresponding attribute.  A proposed grouping is listed below.

(MIGHT)
Climbing

(PROWESS)
Acrobatics
Riding

(KNOWLEDGE)
Literacy
Lore
Streetwise
Survival

(WILL)
Leadership

(There will also be other talents that are related to the role of the character.)

(Melee)
Berserker Rage
Two Weapon Fighting

(Ranged)
Double Shot
Quick Shot

(Magic)
Fast Casting


Again, this is just a placeholder for a list of ideas.  There will be more added during the design process.  More later...

  1. A good start list so far.

    Climbing and Riding seem a bit too specific to go with the rest of the list. You might not be able to avoid that and sometimes how specific something is, is just a matter of perspective. Melee weapons is specific, but it also isn't because it includes all hand wielded weapons.

    I would probably add athletic to might and put climbing under that. (Any physical gym class stuff would go there such as running and jumping.)

    I would add melee weapons under Might as well. Hand to hand might be under Prowess or Might. Ranged weapons would go under Prowess.

  2. That sounds reasonable about adding Athletics. That's what I want - talents that are somewhat broad instead of spot on specific. Nice suggestions.
